Personal Background:

• Early Years: Youngest of the Fes brothers by twent-two minutes, Mhaloren graced the family with a bubbly personality. Smiling, compassionate, it quickly became apparent that while he could sense the force, the full spark that existed in older brothers Dharo and Jhaloren had passed him by, but he was no force null like his twin Khalor. As such, he became the shining example of Thaloriene’s family when duty and family mixed on the Republic’s space station Wild Lightning One. The only time he could be found standing still was when the news vids played clips of the Republic Troopers, quickly becoming obsessed with the victories of the special troopers of the Republic, no matter how much his father attempted to glorify duty in the planetary forces.
• Shortly after his ninth birthday,, a Jedi ambassador arrived on a Republic cruiser with the news that a small shuttle by the name of Sun of Nagor had arrived near Tythoian space with multiple hull breaches no crew but the unconscious form of a twelve year old pilot, and corrupted data banks. The Sun of Nagor was a hyper-speed capable emergency shuttle from the Fes living ship Nagor, which was not even overdue and not supposed to be near Tythonian space. His brother Dharo had no memory of the loss of Nagor, other than an Imperial squadron had appeared out of nowhere, firing immediately on the vessel. There had been no sign of the rest of the crew and passengers, including his mother Thalorinien, and brothers Jhaloren and Khalor and Thalorinien’s three siblings and there families. The trip had been a rare vacation off planet for the force sensitives of the Makete extended family due to government restrictions on revealing entire families of force capable citizens and children. Four Force soldiers from the Makete Fes extended family had taken leave from militia forces for the vacation and as protection for the trip to an isolated uninhabited moon also on the edge of Wild Space assumed to be safe. Mhaloren and his father had missed due to his continued recovery from a rare Ferroan blood infection.
• Overcome by the loss of half of his family, Sarien, with pressure from the Fes family to not resist, did not dispute the Jedi Rohar Medax’s assertion that Dharo’s incredible force abilities would be better served by training on Tython. As grief overwhelmed his father, Mhalorien was allowed to spend more and more time running around Wild Space One, dreaming of what he would have done to save his family.
• On his sixteenth birthday, Mhaloren approached the matriarch of the Fes clan seeking permission to leave his planet and join the Republic military academy on Coruscant. Given the multiple sisters remaining in his family, his request was granted, and with the recommendation of Wild Space One’s Republican infantry Captain Torin Kerr, he entered the academy.

• Recent Years: While Mhaloren has no significant force abilities, he is a force sensitive which gives him just the slightest hint of battle precognition. With exceptional scores, Mhaloren was chosen for advanced training at the tactical academy before two years officer training. After four years of post training service with the Republican Army, Sergeant Mhaloren Fes was chosen for duty with the elite unit Havoc Squad and transferred to Ord Montell.
• Current Years: After the defection of several officers within Havoc Squad, Mhaloren has accepted command of one of the elite Havoc units in pursuit of the traitors. With Dharo’s discovery of Kailorien several years ago, Mhaloren now hopes that he may bring his brothers Jhaloren and Khalor back into the fold and to break them free from whatever hold the empire has on them. Mhaloren has no evidence of Jhaloren’s survival but continues to search. Mhaloren is a more peripheral member of the Wardens of the Light because he remains on his contracted service with Havoc Squad. He still has at least five years of service left but funnels intelligence of corruption, pirate activity, alien incursions and imperial atrocities to his brother. Mhaloren is happiest when his unit can directly assist the Wardens.
• Retreat: Mhaloren built a retreat where he hosts his friends and colleagues, or at least those willing to visit the desert plant Tatooine. He chose Tatooine as the planet most different that he could find from the lush, full of life home Zanoma Sekot, but as long as he is an active member of the Republic military he is restricted from visiting more than the space station orbiting far above.

Skills:

• Vanguard. Mhaloren is an expert in advanced small unit tactics and specializes in combat drops behind enemy lines infiltration, hand to hand combat, and ship boarding and assault.
• Battle Precognition Mhaloren’s force sensitivity gives him an instinctual advantage in hand to hand combat.

• Expands on orders and missions to protect and help people. Believes in the ideals of the Republic. An Idealist who is disgusted with the corruption he has discovered at Ord Mantell and within much of the Republic structure.

Relationships:

• Trusts his team completely and is fascinated by the experiences of both Aric and Elara. Has begun to realize that he has romantic feelings with Elara but is somewhat uncomfortable with the though of fraternization especially given the surveillance that Elara is under by Republic intelligence.
• As the only brother to watch the grief consume his father, Mhaloren does not wish to have children while on active duty but spoils Dharo’s children and their friends endlessly using his combat pay to buy lots and lots of gifts.
• He is saddened by Dharo’s long ago loss, and the changes it made to his oldest brother and would do anything to be able to heal the old wound, even though Dharo is adamant that he has accepted it and Mhaloren should too. Understanding though, Mhaloren goes out of his way to find unique speeder parts, and uses his extra pay (when available) to buy them as gifts to his brother.
• Mhaloren loves running around with the younger troopers, and feels most at home with Warden missions (even occasionally bringing along some of his Havoc team) with Coja and Mishor. He respects Micohl and Washer One for their long service to the Republic, but he still has hope that he can try to reform the Republic from within, but is intelligent enough to know that to actually protect everyone, all resources are needed. Aga Marn’s good natured attitude combines well with Mhaloren’s and together they cheer up any gathering of Wardens. Mhaloren is also willing to ride herd on any of the younger recruits, including the smugglers to both provide muscle and make sure their “cargos” are mostly beneficial for either the Wardens or the people of the planets they visit.
