Dhalorian Fes

Race & Culture:  Ferroan/Chiss – Sarkhai.

Zonama Sekot was an astronomical object located in the Unknown Regionsin grid square F-13 on the Standard Galactic Grid. It was situated in an otherwise empty and unexplored area in the neighborhood of the planets Ahch-To and Rakata Prime, westward of the desert world Jakku, which was located in the Western Reaches of the Inner Rim. Zonama Sekot was unique from other worlds. Its north polar region, a spot of pearl white was surrounded by an entire hemisphere of tropical jungles. Its southern hemisphere was covered with impenetrable silvery clouds. Along the equator there were several rivers, lakes, and small seas. The edge of the southern hemisphere was also covered by elegant wisps of wind which frequently broke free to form spinning storms

Zonama Sekot’s first settlers were black-haired humanoid Ferroan colonists and red-skinned Langhesi colonists. The Ferroans were believers in the Potentium view of the Force. The Langhesi and Ferroans settled the planet along with a small colony of a banished colony of Chiss force sensitives and users.  Within a century of the banishment, the Chiss and Ferroans had intermingled, developing an extremely vibrant, force sensitive, highly polite but xenophobic society.

The planet can only be easily reached via travel through a dangerous corridor of space within one of its living ships.  Although the planet attempted to remain neutral and offer custom made ships to the wealthy elites of the galaxy, the galactic wars forced them to choose sides.  A small Republic military outpost was built in orbit, but Jedi were specifically forbidden from landing upon the planet.  A single extended family was assigned to manage trade with the Republic.

Sarkhai is a mid-rim planet almost entirely covered in forests, where force sensitives are uncommonly rare, and whose industry is mainly exportation of plants and compounds with healing properties, as well as unique spices and foodstuffs. It is not extremely valuable other than agricultural foodstuffs and expensive and rare woods.

Sarkhai joined the Rift Alliance during the most recent war, but through Sarkhai’n efforts in negotiations with the Jedi, led the Rift Alliance to combine their strengths with the Republic to defeat the Empire.

Family Background:

Father: Dharo Fes: Renowned Jedi Healer, Alliance Leader & Warden of the Light. Mother: Nadia Fes Grell: Jedi Knight, Republic Senator for Sarkhai. Seems far closer to his mother than his father, but in the end who knows? Brother: (Twin): Bhelarian Fes (Younger by 9 minutes). Loves his brother, doesn’t like him very much. Bhelarien is way too arrogant for him. Brother/cousin: Kailorien (younger by a dozen years). Too much older than his adopted brother to know him well, but always willing to lend a hand, a drink or an ear for his venting anger. Patriarchal Grandparents: Grandfather (Chiss): Planetary Force Captain Sarien Fes, retired. Grandmother (Ferroan) : Thalorinen Makete Fes (Officially Missing, Presumed Dead). His father Dharo has 3 brothers and four sisters. Two brothers (Jhaloren and Khalor were presumed killed at the same time as their mother, although Khalor is now known to have survived. Dhalorian is extremely close with his uncle Mhaloren. He absolutely adhores Mhaloren and would follow him anywhere or do anything to help him. Matriarchal Grandparents: Grandfather: Senator Tobas Grell (Deceased). Grandmother: Korena Grell. His mother Nadia has one older brother and one older sister, both who work in the family business. Dhalorian often includes Grell medicinal products in his “shipments.”

He is much closer to his Sarkai’n grandmother Korena Grell, who now runs the family small export/import business on Sarkhai.

Personal Background:

  • Early Years:  Born on the planet Sarkhai, Dhalorian does not really call any particular planet home. He spent far more time on a ship traveling with his mother as her combined duties of Jedi Knight and Senator from Sarkhai required. He believes himself to be quite knowledgeable of his cultural roots, but has only participated in the familial traditions of Sarkhai, where he and his brother are well known as the sons of the planetary Senator, and one of the powerful families of Sarkhai.
  • He has never visited the planetary surface of Zonoma Sekat, and while he and his brother participated in the traditional introduction to the Fes Matriarch at age 10, and were welcomed to the family, all of the ritual banquets and familial introductions, including to this four aunts and his Ferroan and Chiss Great Grandmothers (the current matriarchs of the Fes and Makete clans, were held on the Wild Space One station, overwhelming its limited hospitality suites and rooms. He is much closer to his Sarkai’n grandmother Korena Grell, who now runs the family small export/import business on Sarkhai.
  • As a force sensitive like nearly all of his Fes family, and born of two Jedi, it was a possibility that he would train to become a Jedi. However, his abilities were identified to be minor relatively early on by several Jedi, not just his father and mother.
  • Recent Years: He is unaware that his father did not inform him of the multiple invitations from Zonoma Sekat for the children of the hero of Nagor to apply for the living ship program. As the eldest son of a renowned Jedi Healer and the even more rare Jedi/Senator of Sarkhai, Dhalorian wanted for nothing, traveling the stars and socializing with the elites of any planet to which he traveled, and his parents massive penthouse in the upper reaches of Coruscant, he lacked for no companions, especially in the times when both parents were away performing necessary duties. When a the immensely rich truly wanted to rebel, what better way than with one of their own who also was a naturally gifted pilot who owned his own uniquely designed hyper capable space yacht.
  • Current Years: Although Dhalorian still loves the attention of his friends, eventually the carnage of the war caught up with his innate sense of duty. While rebellious towards his parents, their example did actually soak in to his soul. Dhalorian met his friend Corso on Ord Mantell when visiting his Uncle Mhaloren, and his uncle’s quick and dirty tour for his nephew highlighted not only the corruption of the Republic but the utter failure that the galaxy as a whole was providing for this majority of the people after years of constant warfare and rebellions on many planets. Dhalorian is a free spirit and a free trader

Skills:

  • Natural and flamboyant pilot (think Pete Mitchell in Maverick). His force sensitivity combines with spatial awareness and coordination to where he can fly anything around anyone.
  • Smooth – talker / diplomatic
  • Near Perfect Galactic Spatial Knowledge – If he hasn’t heard of a planet and its location, then it doesn’t exist.
  • Dual – Pistols – Just try him.

Personality Traits & Inspirations:

  • Flamboyant dress, knows the height of fashion, and pop culture of the rich & famous, loved by the ladies. Inspiration Agent Peacock: Garak (ST: Deep Space Nine) Ser Toras Lyrell (GoT) as far as the fashion, wealth and flamboyance is concerned. But deadly with his weapons (pun intended), ladies only unless necessary……
  • Always ready for a good time/party private or public. Trope would be the Pornomancer. Think Joey (Friends) & Howard Stark (Agent Carter/Captain America: The First Avenger).
  • Compassionate: All of it is the gilded cover of a deeply compassionate man. While he didn’t inherit his father’s healing abilities, he cares about people. While he needs funds to cover his missions, his goals and his core missions are taking medical supplies (and medical personnel) and foodstuffs to where they are needed most. When intergalactic relief agencies need someone to take a mission, he will get them there. No matter where there is located) Not sure of a TV trope/inspiration here – the guy who gets Doctors without Borders where they need to be with what they need to be I guess.
  • Willing to shoot: Inspiration: “I’m Your Huckleberry.” Doc Holliday (Tombstone)

Relationships:

  • Companions. His copilots and his droids (not far enough in game to really know more than Corso). Will likely change.
  • Guildmates: He knows every older sibling (intimately for the girls) of every friend or maybe friend Betsiette ever had. Loves hanging out with Kikari (thinks of her as the sister he never had). Enjoys missions with Skalara. Will fly for absolutely anyone in the Wardens, but particularly enjoys Troopers and Trooper bars and female troopers (or any of the Wardens troopers who will introduce him to their friends).
