Warden Recruit: Kelor Pahn Tlan

Race & Culture: Twi’lek / (Ferroan-Chiss)

Home Planet: NAR SHADDAA

Family Background:

Mother: Netal Pahn (Former Slave turned Executive Aide) Father: Jordel Tlan (Former Security Company Executive turned recluse) Biological Father: Khalor Fes (Unknown to either Khalor or Kelor. Although Kelor is aware that Jordel is his adopted father.

Personal Background:

  • Early Years:  Kelor has no knowledge of his biological father. Neither his mother or his adopted father would ever speak of him. By the age of two, Jordel had married Netal and adopted Kelor. Fearful of assassins, Jordel never allowed either his wife or adopted son to use his name in public or any sort of public record. Given his father’s wealth, Kelor never wanted for anything, but never learned anything of his true background, including his mother’s family as she was too young when she was sold into slavery to even know what planet she originally came from.
  • Recent Years: At the age of 12, the feared assassins finally breached Jordel’s security while Kelor an his mother were not in the residence. Netula liquidated as many of Jordel’s assets as quickly as possible, traveling under assumed names, and re-settled on Corellia, determined to keep their identities and their relation to Jordel hidden. In a moment of sadness and anger, Netula referred to the assassins as agents of the Imperial Science Bureau but would not answer any other questions for her son. Determined to eventually bring his father’s assassins to justice, or at least make the Empire pay for their atrocities, Kelor enlisted in the Republic Army, determined to get the training necessary to eventually accomplish his goal.
  • Current Years: Kelor has a natural talent as a sniper, and unbeknownst to him, his natural ability stems from a force sensitivity inherited from his biological father. After graduating top of his class, he was assigned to the 352nd Republic Assault Brigade where he has served for two years
    • Kelor has three goals in order of importance, and will work towards all three, believing that the secondary goals will eventually lead to the primary.
      • Find and execute the assassins who killed his father and destroyed his mother’s love.
      • Destroy the Imperial Science Bureau
      • Destroy the Empire.
      • Bonus: Kill as many imperial personnel as possible.

Skills:

  • Sniper, Infiltration, Document Forging, Stealth, Droid Repair

Personality Traits & Inspirations:

  • Personality Traits
  • Patient Hunter: Kelor has trained himself to be extremely patient in the acquisition of his goal. Trope is a combination of Its Personal and Silent Hunter/Sniper: Agent Jethro Gibbs (NCIS)
  • Vengeful: Kelor’s actions are all towards achieving his goal of finding the assassins who killed his father and destroyed his mother’s life. TV Tropes tends to “Kill Them All” or “The Enemies List” specifically Oliver Queen (Arrow) or Arya Stark (GoT)
  • Emotional Chameleon: A bit like the TV trope, Multi-Layer Facade, ie Faceless Men (GoT). Unbeknownst to Kelor, but similar to his biological father, Kelor can easily assume any role or attitude as the situation fits (within limits) and what will benefit his self given mission But not that extreme, his behavior is subtle changes in dealing with people within the roles he knows, not an expert at everything. But, within the gamut of being a trooper, what gets him closer? Cooperating with intel officers? Superiors? Anger, Calm?
  • Imposter Syndrome: Doesn’t feel like he’s qualified to be where he is, maybe a bit like Harry Dresden from the Dresden File Books.

Relationships:

  • Companions: Loner So Far. Friendly with his unit members but no lasting friendships.
  • Guildmates: As a recruit, he knows no one in the Wardens, and its only the vague suggestion of the Jedi Liriss Oathwarden who summoned him to a meeting shortly after being assigned to Havoc Squad on Ord Mantell.
  • Unused to Jedi, he debated about ignoring the strange Jedi, but eventually curiosity claimed him and heobeyed the summons. A vague “ordered suggestion” indicated that his goal would be served by being in the cantina twelve days later, where he met a disparate group of experienced troopers by the names of Tarek, Mhaloren, Mishor Voc and Coja. Not knowing what else to do, he planted himself in front of the officers with the statement that the Jedi Liriss Oathwarden had told him to be here at this time and “What the fuck is going on? Sirs, Ma’am.”

Further Info Text Box: Behind the scenes in machinations unknown to Kelor, records were modified selecting Kelor for assignment to training for Republic Special Forces, which he has just finished and been assigned to Havoc Squad on Ord Mantell, a position for which he feels completely unqualified at this stage of his career, but so far has surpassed expectations of those who served with him. .
