It had been a long night but weirdly I didn’t really feel tired, instead I felt strangely energized. Allison had gone over to her room to hang her stuff up and hop in the shower, which I’d been mildly disappointed she didn’t want to join me in the one off my room even if she was coming back so that was cool. I loved being with her regardless of what we were doing.
The shower had been refreshing, relaxing and re-invigorating. I spent the time under the hot water trying to figure out what was the best part of the night and, frankly, other than the near brush of Truth/Dare where Allison almost had to dance with Felix that was saved by a slight bump and Kierka dancing with her instead, the whole night had been fucking amazing starting with how mysterious and sexy her costume had been when Allison walked down the stairs at the lakehouse. I’m sure Kierka and Cashmere had looked great, but I had no desire to look away from Allison, nor did he ever. From then on I’d been lost in a fog of fun, happiness and joy. Even Felix had apologized to Allison, although I wasn’t quite sure what he meant. Allison had been happy too, or maybe relieved, so I’d been happy for her but Feliz didn’t really say what he was apologizing for specifically nor did Allison question him. For a few moments then I’d been hit with a massive surge of jealousy which had angered me because of course Felix had to insert himself into Allison & I’s equation again but I’d been successful in at least burying it right away and not reacting.
As I thought about that again in the shower, I could feel the former jealously flare up. I couldn’t help it. Both the simultaneous flirting before Allison & Felix hooked up and then a few days later even with her & I flirting then the Barbe wrecking ball had come through demolishing all in its path. I still hadn’t come to terms with it all even in the sessions with Dr. Downs, let alone all the looks Allison had almost unconsciously made toward Felix even after she and I had been together. I understood because Felix was undeniably sexy and attractive ….. I Took a deep steadying breath and slowly breathed it out and pushed the ugly bead of jealousy down into the metaphysical earth and re-concentrated on the dancing, the Karaoke, the kisses and the handholding, the incredible smile that crossed her face when she told Felix that all the plants, flowers and greenery in my room was “peaceful .”
Rebalanced, I toweled dry, thankfully the retail therapy trip with Allison had resulted in me purchasing several towels that most people thought were exteah large but just right for me. I slipped on my boxers and headed out into my bedroom.
“Hey, you known what my favorite part of the night was . . . .”

I came to a complete stop, physically and mentally although a number of emotions were definitely surging.

In the center of the belt she knelt, svelte curves, blonde hair and naked flesh. The only added element was the cowboy hat I’d worn all night, its wide brim casting a shadow over hungry eyes. With a grin both mysterious and wanton, she said. “Baby, your favorite part of the night hasn’t happened yet.”
There weren’t any words after that. Only grins, moans, and blissful collisions.
After a delightful couple of hours, Allison left for an appointment with Downs. I was a bit surprised as usually both she and I had appointments during the week but I agreed it had been a very long week and it felt like my last had been a month ago instead of Tuesday.
She’s been gone almost an hour and I had something i wanted to show her since she’d made the comment about how peaceful all of the plants made my room. Plus it would give us a reason to ride together for a bit. Between all the changes with the Academy, the missions, they hadn’t rode together as much as he had hoped, especially when I was using most of my riding time to teach Z to ride, not only riding but horses, breeding, and Z was so intelligent he just liked to learn. He was a now a decent basic rider but he said he wanted to be more than basic and a lot of that just took time and bonding to a particular one or two favorite mounts. While he loved the teaching and Z’s interest, either Z was either with me alone or with Allison and me so it didn’t lead to spontaneous, hmmm, intimacy.
Either way, this spot he had only found a few weeks ago after a thunderstorm had destroyed a small patch of woods that opened into an arroyo I’d never seen before.
He tapped a few keys on his laptop, sending a note to Kieka, “attached find my Mission Report – Louisiana 2.1 with some minor adjustments to timelines and actions after review with Allison & Z proofread the first. More questions and follow-up’s too. Don’t know how it compares to the class you started. Also, here’s the shared drive for final reports (and corresponding links to drafts and supplemental data. We all have access but historically I or Waverly write the mission reports but there’s a couple from Allison. Feel free to review as we all have different styles.”
With a tap of the key, I sent the report to Kierka, filed it as final on the server and as I did, the transport hummed so I bounced up.
For a moment, when she walked into the kitchen I thought against asking her as Allison looked worn and tired but as I handed her a cup of coffee with all the flavorings she liked, her smile perked up and then the weekly food surprise was the Californian Eggs Benedict that I’d experimented with before. The key, at least my beloved, was extra avocado and fresh tomatoes. The sauce has turned out beautifully, and all of the fresh sliced fruit was ready to go. I’d grilled a bunch of ham on a side plate. The weekend was generally the time she’d always forgo the green shake but I usually tried to have all the ingredients separately in some way.
The best news was everyone else was still asleep or gone perhaps since we hadn’t gotten home until dawn,
We chatted but we were both obviously hungry as the extra ham disappeared even if a small piece made it down Sugar’s gullet.
Given the new energy that bounded through her, “I have something I’d like to show you, a surprise of sorts. Especially after yesterday when you said all the plants in my room make it . . Peaceful. “
“For a moment I thought you were going to break out one of your . . . innuendos.”
It was said with a cute little smirky smile but I blushed anyway before saying, “that’s for later,” while trying to wriggle my eyebrows and when she laughed I cracked up as well.

I hadn’t seen her wear this combo before but I sure as hell didn’t mind. I was once again reminded how sexy and athletic her legs and ass were before even considering the rest of her beauty. I’d already readied the stallion Lightfoot she’d bonded with but I was also glad to see her feed him a carrot even if I’d given him and the Irish Draught mare named Sunflower Rose I was riding today a treat as well.
We rode for about fifteen minutes, occasionally talking but mainly just enjoying the amazing spring morning of Southern California before we arrived at the beginning of a small path I’d discovered. I guided Allison and the horses through the woods until we came to what seemed like a dead end. I tuned and smiled before dismounting Sunflower Rose and smiling at Allison. “You can stay mounted but combined with SunRose I’d knock myself out. I lead the horses a few steps and then passed an outcropping that made it appear a solid wall. The western half of the country had these little arroyos all over the place but this one opened into a beautiful place seemingly lost to time.
At one end, near the entry, a wellspring bubbled up out of the ground, and from the steam in the air it was immediately obvious the small pool was heated. As it traversed the small little canyon of maybe 75 years wide and 150 long, the water cooled and greenery sprung forth, all kinds of green and colored blooms. I walked a little further in to the canyon as it spread out a few feet lower than us now with the hot spring maybe fifteen feet behind and above us to the right.
“I was just thinking that if we together, or one of us, wanted some peace and quiet, we didn’t have to go too far to find it. I love my spot in the greenhouse don’t get me wrong, but Nature does it better by herself, don’t you think?”
I turned towards Allison to make sure she’d heard me but the impact and kiss that followed made me think she agreed.
